NILS KRAPF

Nils Krapf approaches fashion as a narrative space situated between reality and imagination. Growing up in Bavaria, his work has been deeply influenced by regional folklore, medieval imagery and mythology, leading him to explore how cultural memory, identity and fantasy can be translated into contemporary clothing.

At the core of his practice lies a storytelling-driven approach, where collections emerge as visual narratives shaped through silhouettes, materials and emotional atmospheres. Historical references and archetypal imagery serve as starting points that are reinterpreted through a deeply personal perspective.

His work further engages with themes of queerness, identity and belonging, combining conceptual research with an intuitive approach to materiality. Textile details become emotional and narrative carriers, allowing garments to communicate beyond their physical form.
